March Station Spotlight in Regent Park

Riding Over to Regent Park – Dundas St E & Regent Park Blvd

It’s that time of year when we want to break free from winter. We don’t know about you, but the Bike Share Toronto team is looking forward to the slow progression of snow melting away that will reveal the grass underneath, while waking to the sound of birds chirping instead of snowplows. Who’s with us?

Many of us are sitting at home, in a makeshift home office with too many people in the house, and missing the socializing days that give us a sense of belonging within the community. For this month’s station spotlight, we want to encourage you to change up your day by exploring one of our popular stations – Dundas St E & Regent Park Blvd.

Ever since the Pan Am   Para Pan Am Games hit Toronto in 2015 and the Canary District was built out, we have seen this space become an area that celebrates diversity, culture, and green space. As the weather starts to change, why not go a little further on your next Bike Share Toronto trip?

Instead of making another cup of drip coffee at home, pick up a bike at our Dundas St E & Regent Park Blvd station and head down to Sumach Espresso, the sibling cafe to the popular Broadview Espresso. Then just a few blocks away, you can pick up all your natural pet products at Knick Knack Paddy Whack Pet Supplies and Grooming to keep your furry best friend happy.

While you’re in the neighbourhood, why not peek into Daniel’s Spectrum? They offer programs for both adults and children and provide engaging community events and art exhibitions. A tip to save for the spring and summer months, this is where you will find the new location of legendary ice cream parlour, The Lansdowne Cone in Regent Park. Not only do they carry traditional ice cream flavours, but they specialize in unique flavours such as Burnt Marshmallow and Apple Pie, as well as vegan and sugar-free options so everyone can enjoy. We’re drooling.
