Promote Your Environmentally Friendly Footprint With Bike Share Toronto

At Bike Share Toronto, we genuinely believe that the best way to commute and experience the city is behind Bike Share Toronto handlebars. It is not just because a single one-way 30-minute trip is only $3.25, or because we have 6,850 bikes and 625 stations, but because we want to make sure we are environmentally friendly so everyone can enjoy it. More than 2.9M trips were taken in 2020 on bike share, let’s keep the momentum going!

When you opt for a bike, you are reducing your carbon footprint by saying “no” to exhaust and chemical pollutants that are hazardous to our health and cause smog that blurs our iconic Toronto skyline. We don’t know about you, but we couldn’t imagine picking up a bike at the popular Humber Bay Shores Park West station and not being able to see the  CN tower that guides us home.

We know that many of our riders use Bike Share Toronto bikes because they want to do their part in being environmentally friendly, and one of the many perks to living in a city is that many local shops can help take your green-self one step further.

Have you been shopping a little too much online and annoyed by all the wasteful packaging you’ve acquired? Level up on your clean living game and visit Ecotique by docking your bike at our Garden Ave & Roncesvalles Ave station to check out their collection of zero waste and reusable goods. Go a little bit further and check out PrettyCleanShop next to our High Park Ave & Dundas St W station to refill all the home essentials you need for a spring cleaning.

After you finish your spring cleaning, you will probably want to indulge in a little bit of self-care; why not visit Ecoexistance, located right next to our St.Clair W & Rushton Rd station. Pamper yourself without worrying about harmful, synthetic chemicals going into our landfills or down the drain into our sewer system.

Trying to be more eco-friendly can be tricky, so start small! Steps such as incorporating eco-wise products into your life, and trading out the car for a Bike Share Toronto bike, may seem like they won’t make a difference, but imagine if all of our riders did it. We’d have a happier and greener Toronto.

Be greener with Bike Share Toronto, and download the PBSC app to see what opportunities are waiting for you. Don’t forget to tag us wherever your bike may take you!
