What station do you consider to be your “home station”? Are there other stations that are key to your use patterns and helping you get around the city?

Cariboo St / Rail Path is the station I rely on the most!

What would you consider to be the “local gems” or spots you love to frequent in your community using Bike Share? 

I love biking through the West Toronto Railpath. It’s such a well utilized community public space for human and non-human animals. It’s wonderful to be near and watch the wildflowers and trees evolve seasonally. Bonus, on some days it smells like chocolate because of the Nestle factory.

What do you love the most about using Bike Share and what value do you find in using the system?

I love how affordable it is when you get an annual pass. I love that you can transmit with more precision than the TTC, meaning I can bike much closer to my destination than typically where a subway stop or bus stop can take me. I used to ride my own bike but it was tedious to maintain and my apartment isn’t big enough for it to be inside. I appreciate not having to worry about repairs or worry about having my bike stolen if I’ve parked it in a high traffic area. The availability of Bike Share makes Toronto a more liveable city, a more gender equitable city, and a more sustainable city.

What made you start riding with Bike Share?

I had to repair my bike too many times and it was expensive. It was just bad luck for what had caused all the repairs, but the silver lining is discovering bike share. I also often am nervous that when I lock my bike up, it will get stolen.
