How does Bike Share Toronto work?
Bike Share Toronto is an enjoyable and cost-effective way to get around Toronto. Buy a Day Pass or become an Annual Member to gain access to 2,000 bikes throughout the city. Locate a bike at one of the 200 stations and return the bike to any station in the bike share system. Take as many quick trips as you want while your pass or membership is active. How long can I keep a bike out?
The first 30 minutes of each ride is included in the base price of the pass or with your membership. Extra usage fees apply after 30 minutes. See Annual Membership and Day Passes for more information on pricing.
What are the fees if you keep a bike out longer than 30 minutes?
After 30 minutes, it costs an extra $1.50 for the first 30 minutes, $4 for an additional 30 minutes, and $7 for each 30 minute time block after that. See Annual Membership and Day Passes for more information.
How do I take out a bike?
To use Bike Share Toronto, you must join as an Annual Member or purchase a Day Pass. Locate an available bike on the Station Map or mobile app. Annual Members insert their bike share key into a dock to unlock the bike. Day Pass users enter their ride code on the keypad on the dock. After inserting your bike share key or typing your ride code, a green light appears on the dock and unlocks the bike. Remove the bike from the dock by lifting the seat or pulling backwards on the handlebars.
How do I return a bike?
Return the bike to any one of the 200 stations with an open dock. Locate an available dock on the Station Map or mobile app. Match the triangle on the front of the bike with the dock and insert the bike. A green light appears on the dock and locks the bike in the dock.
What should I do if I need to return my bike and the station is full?
Find another station on the Transit App, the Station Map, or the station kiosk. To avoid usage fees after 30 minutes, go to the station kiosk, press “No bike docks available?” and follow the instructions to receive an extra 15 minutes to find an available dock.
