OVERAGE FEES FOR CLASSIC BIKES

For classic bike rides, extra fees apply for trips longer than 30 or 45 minutes (based on your membership type). Overage fees will apply at a rate of $0.12 per minute of additional ride time until the bike is docked. To avoid overage fees, dock the classic bike before your 30 or 45 minute ride time is up. To continue riding, simply unlock another (or the same) classic bike, ride and repeat while your membership is active.

USAGE FEES FOR E-BIKES

All e-bike trips will be subject to per minute pricing ($0.10 per minute). Annual members will benefit from a preferred rate for e-bike use compared to casual (non-member) with no unlock fee. Ride for as long as you'd like using an e-bike without having to dock every 30 or 45 minutes. You will be changed until the time you dock.

*If applicable, members will be billed classic bike overage fees and e-bike fees within 24-hours of incurring them.

If you are an Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) recipient, you qualify for an annual membership with ZERO e-bike usage fees. Click here for details.

Pass details include:

Annual 30 ($105/year) | Annual 45 ($120/year)

Unlimited 30 or 45 minute rides (depending on pass type) on classic bikes & e-bikes.
Overage fees apply for trips longer than 30 or 45 minutes (depending on pass type) at a rate of $0.12/min of additional ride time.
ZERO e-bike usage fees, with no unlock fee.

To qualify simply follow the instructions below:

1. Visit any Toronto YMCA branch
2. Speak with a YMCA representative who will print/complete the below application form
3. YMCA staff will email the completed form on your behalf to Bike Share Toronto (email address in form)
4. Once we receive the completed application, we will email you a purchase link to access your pass

Bike Share Toronto staff will then send an application to TCHC for verification
Once TCHC confirms the applicant's proof of residence, we will contact the applicant with instructions and a discount code for either a $5 pass or 20% discount code.
The full application process takes approximately 7-10 business days

How do I ride with the Reduced Fare Pass + Overage/Usage Fees?

This pass works the same as any Annual 30 or Annual 45 membership. Standard classic bike overage fees and e-bike usage fees apply.

Classic Bike Overage Fees: Your membership grants you unlimited 30- or 45-minute trips on a classic bike with overage fees applying for trips lasting longer than 30 or 45 minutes of ride time. See our pricing page for more details on overage fees.

E-bike Usage Fees: Trips using an e-bike are subject to per minute pricing of $0.10/minute of ride time until the time you dock. Ride an e-bike without having to dock every 30 or 45 minutes.

What is the pass ODSP Pass?

A limited number of special Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) memberships are available that are exempt from the per minute e-bike fee. Eligible ODSP recipients can choose from an Annual 30 or Annual 45 membership, which includes unlimited rides on classic bikes or e-bikes. These memberships will be distributed by the YMCA.

The ODSP Pass is a full price annual membership that features ZERO e-bike fees.

How do I apply and what is the onboarding process?

Applicants must visit a local YMCA branch in person to obtain a pass/membership
Applicants must bring photo ID and proof of ODSP enrollment
A YMCA representative will verify an applicant’s eligibility and fill out an application form located on bikesharetoronto.com with the applicant’s basic information
Once verified as eligible, a YMCA representative will send a completed application form to Bike Share Toronto customer service and CC the applicant’s email address.
Bike Share Toronto will then contact the applicant with instructions and a unique URL to purchase an ODSP Pass.
The full application process takes approximately 5-7 business days

What are the overage fees for the ODSP Pass?

Eligible applicants can purchase either an Annual 30 or Annual 45 membership. Standard overage fees will apply.
