As Bike Share Toronto’s expansion continues, we chose to spotlight one of the most popular stations in our new North York pilot area. The Pond Rd / Sentinel Rd station is located in the heart of York University’s Keele campus and is a stone’s throw of plenty of restaurants and other places of interest. Head slightly north of this station and visit the York Lanes Shopping Mall, which features 30 options for dining, shopping and other services. Simply take a stroll around the university campus or visit York Lions Stadium – home of the York Lions – which was primarily built for the 2015 Pan American and Parapan American Games. Nearer to the station itself, grab a coffee from Aroma Espresso Bar or something to eat at the many outlets – such as Subway sandwiches, Basil Box, Amaya Express or Banh Mi Boys. Ride slightly west and discover Dan Iannuzzi Park and Fred Young Park or head north west and visit Black Creek Pioneer Village, an open-air heritage museum showcasing a recreation of 19th-century Ontario.
