April Station Spotlight in Trinity Bellwoods Park

A Day in Trinity Bellwoods Park – Queen St W & Crawford St

The days are getting longer, the sun is getting warmer, and we are putting away our heavy parkas (for now). Now that spring is officially here, Torontonians throughout the city are yearning to be active and re-introduce themselves to mother nature, while we wait for the cherry blossoms to bloom.  Many residents and beyond flock to High Park, but what about docking your bike at our Queen St W & Crawford St station to explore  Trinity Bellwoods Park and its surrounding area.

Don’t think that this park is only worth visiting during cherry blossoms season; there is always something to experience at Trinity Bellwoods Park! We love to shop locally and support locally grown foods, so for the Bike Share Toronto team, it’s a no-brainer for us to mark our calendars to hit up the Trinity Bellwoods Farmer’s Market. It runs on Tuesdays from 3 PM – 7 PM, starting on May 4th until October 7th. It is the perfect opportunity to take your fresh foodie finds and have a picnic right in the middle of the park.

Are you looking to skip the picnic but want to eat something sweet? Well, you are in luck! Right outside Trinity Bellwoods Park is the ever-famous Nadège Patisserie, where you would think you have sworn that you somehow stepped across a portal and into France. Boasting an incredible pastry section, Nadège Patisserie also carries hand-made chocolates that would make Willy Wonka envious.

From all this eating, you have two options – either go back to the park and burn off that extra energy or pick up a good book and enjoy the sunshine. Personally, we think there is nothing better than a good book and a lazy afternoon in Trinity Bellwoods Park. Support your local book store and check out TYPE Books. Fiction, non-fiction, cookbooks, arts & culture, they have it all! We suggest, however, to open your mind and opt for the “Mystery Bag,” maybe you’ll stumble across your new favourite book.
