Cherry Blossoms at High Park

High Park is one of Toronto’s most visited attractions during spring. Why? The stunning cherry blossoms. Toronto’s largest collection of sakuras — gifted to the city by Japan in 1959 as a gesture of goodwill for accepting refugees after World War II – can be found in the 399 acre park. Blooming for only one week of the year, High Park’s pink branches attracts thousands.

Closed to cars for Cherry Blossom Season, High Park will only be accessible via public transit, walking, and – of course – biking! With three stations at the north entrance and two stations within the park, cycling High Park has never been easier! Pick-up a bike, grab your camera and get pretty in pink with Bike Share Toronto.

Falling along the Martin Goodman Trail, Tommy Thompson Park makes for a wonderful bike ride! With two stations near Cherry Beach and one located at the park entrance, cycle to the lakeside to discover local wildlife.
