August Station Spotlight – College St & Major St

Take Bike Share Toronto to Kensington Market!

When was the first time you visited Kensington Market? For some of us at Bike Share Toronto, it was on a school trip to explore Kensington Market and neighbouring China Town. However, we can confidently say that it was not the last time we were in Kensington! This vibrant area has become one of the most unforgettable places in Toronto on everyone’s “need to visit” list to understand the community and vibrancy that our city encapsulates. Need a refresher on the area, don’t worry, Bike Share has you covered in this Station Spotlight as we focus on College St & Major St.

Before you head deep into the market, mark your first stop at Mango Like Desserts right across the street from our College St & Major St station. As the restaurant name may give away, the cuisine focuses on quality mango desserts worldwide, from Thai-inspired mango sticky rice to mango mochi and mango crepes. Did we mention that their creations are not only delicious but Instagram-worthy? Fair warning, this restaurant is not for those with mango allergies.

Looking to change up your wardrobe, then grab your Bike Share Toronto bike and ride down to dock at Augusta Ave & Dundas St. Head on over to Courage My Love, Toronto’s go-to vintage clothing store in Kensington Market since 1975. Here you can pick unique vintage goods as well as upcycled vintage pieces from various Etsy artists

Maybe your office isn’t as cool as the Bike Share Toronto HQ, and you can’t rock your fantastic vintage purchase to the office? (bummer). Your office a bit more formal? Get yourself ready to head back to the downtown core after getting suited up at  Tom’s Place, near our Augusta Ave & Denison SQ station. Since opening its doors in 1958, Tom’s Place has probably been one of the few local stores that has been helping generations of Torontonians with their business and formal wear. Let’s continue to #supportlocal with this family-run store!
