February Station Spotlight: Yonge St & Golfdale Rd

The Neighbourhood Adventure – Yonge St & Golfdale Rd

Just north of Yonge Street and Lawrence Avenue intersection and a stone’s throw away from Hoggs Hollow, Yonge St & Golfdale Rd station is tucked amongst the many local stores and restaurants that have been in Toronto for generations.  Next time you need feel the need to explore a new neighbourhood, this station is the perfect place to pick up a bike to enjoy a fun downhill ride on Yonge Street for as little as $3.25 for a one-way trip (up to 30 minutes in length)!

Craving a burger? Grab some napkins and head to one of Toronto’s favourite burger joints – Burger’s Priest, located right next to this station. Or if you’re looking to spice up your stay-at-home activities for the whole family? Mastermind Toys has enough books, puzzles and games to keep you from attempting a second wave loaf of sourdough, as delicious as that sounds. For those of us that have not perfected baking skills by now, we suggest picking up your next batch of delicious sweet treats at Bobbette & Belle down the street.

While continuing to keep safe with stay-at-home orders, many of us have the urge to get outside and feel the wind on our faces. Using bikeshare is an easy and convenient way to get outside with a purpose. Specifically around the Yonge St/Golfdale Rd station, explore old Toronto’s historic Tudor and Georgian lined streets on your way to one of Toronto’s quieter parks.

We don’t know about you, but once we’re on a bike we want to spend every minute exploring and finding new local gems, while getting the perfect picture for the ‘gram. Drop by Sporting Life or Lululemon – conveniently located near our Yonge St./Blythwood Rd. or Yonge St./Briar Hill Ave. stations, respectively – to get some cool all-weather exercise gear that will get you back on your workout routine and out of a winter funk. Once you’re done there, feel fee to reward yourself with all the caffeine from the local De Mello Coffee shop near our Yonge St./Erskine Ave station.
